Its stainless-steel precision burr grinding mechanism offers 16 selectable grinds to accommodate every brewing process, including espresso, automatic drip, and French press. Its no-cling glass jar holds up to one pound of coffee beans and is designed with a twist-off sealed lid. Four rubber feet offer added stability. The coffee mill comes with a cleaning brush and a graduated, glass measuring cup. The easy-to-clean coffee mill measures 4-19/32 by 4-19/32 by 13-25/32 inches and carries a one-year hassle-free replacement warranty.
Looks old, works like new!
Got this grinder with some bonus points from one of my credit cards. Insofar as performance is concerned, this thing is great. I've ground several types of beans at several different grinds. Mostly, I've used it for espresso and Turkish blend. It performs masterfully.
You have to clean it as you would with any grinder if you use oily coffees. My machine broke after 6 months because of that. It broke a shear pin on the drive shaft...could have been a stone or something hard in the coffee, but I also never cleaned it. KitchenAid was AWESOME about replacing it.

Have had this grinder for a year. The grind select does not work anymore. Oily beans get jammed. The machine makes a huge mess because it spits grinds all over the place. I have cleaned the machine and followed the manual's maintenance schedule. It just is not a very good machine!! Buy something else.
Love my grinder
I've owned this model grinder for 5 years, with no problems. My favorite, every day coffee is a 50/50 blend of 8 O'Clock 100% columbian beans, and 8 O'Clock Dark roast beans,I mix 2 bags well, store in a large ziplock, and fill the hopper when necessary.Today,my son used some beans he received as a gift,[not flavored, just a dark roast]and for the first time,my grinder got clogged.Hubby cleaned it out,and all is well, nothing broken. For a home grinder, this is just the best, and good looking too.Do you know this model is discontinued? I panicked, and bought one of the 6 cinnamon gloss grinders amazon had left [my current model is empire red,and there are none left]And the model that is replacing this one,is 200$ or more, and ugly as sin.For the money, this grinder is a hard worker and good looking.
